Summary/Objective
The Regional Sales Director provides and develops the regional sales strategy and leadership for specific geographic area footprint. Responsible for development of regional plan and manages strategic growth activities and provides guidance to the business unit, customer service, and manufacturer sales representative firms in his assigned region. The Regional Sales Director provides a regional sales and management for managing critical Tech-Etch key geographic areas, which includes management of customers, internal resources, and manufacturer’s reps. The Regional Sales Director will also play a key role in the development and expansion of profitable sales to the organization.
Competencies – Knowledge & Skills and Experiences
- Strong understanding of operations including manufacturing, materials management, and quality & regulatory.
- Experience and knowledge of the medical device, medical equipment, military/aerospace industries and regional customers.
- Demonstrated sales leadership driving high performance sales initiatives and long-term strategic growth.
- Extensive experience in increasing profitable sales revenue within a defined customer base or region.
- Complete understanding of profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Ability to manage both internal and external sales resources to build a cohesive sales plan within a geographic region.
- Strong written (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and oral communication skills.
Essential Functions
- Build long-term Sales strategy for specific customers in alignment with our vision, mission, and values
- Clearly define of our competitive advantage and value proposition for regional customers
- Establish and strengthen customer relationships, including the identification of focus products and accounts as well as customer rationalization.
- Identify product line opportunities and work with engineering and manufacturing to integrate with our technology roadmap
- Manage our manufacturer representative firm’s specific to regional account site locations.
Organizational Responsibility
The global account manager position provides a strategic sales responsibility for managing critical Tech-Etch key global customers, which includes management of customer, internal resources, and manufacturer’s reps.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Travel
Domestic travel with some international travel equaling 15% - 20% of his/her time.
Education
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering, finance, business administration, or marketing
