ABOUT THE JOB
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures in order to maintain production and quality systems. In addition, he/she may perform grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain and repair production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,         hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • May read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, including some HVAC.
  • Perform a variety of basic plumbing maintenance, basic electrical maintenance and basic carpentry functions.
  • Use various hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • May assist with snow removal in the winter.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Complete inspections of facilities.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Leadership: provide direction, training, monitor work and provide performance feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Knowledge/experience with PLC diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with electronic controls
  • Experienced in operating various equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools.
  • Strong time management with the ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be respirator certified
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Monday to Friday
